SMALL AUTOMATION RUN CHECKLIST

[ ] Define success separately from process exit.
[ ] Distinguish no new items from source failure.
[ ] Bound pages, items, request time and total work.
[ ] Decide what happens when runs overlap.
[ ] Define total attempts and receiver-supported duplicate prevention.
[ ] Keep an ambiguous effect unknown until reconciled.
[ ] Keep secrets out of logs.
[ ] Record start, completion, coverage and remaining work.
[ ] Preserve the last successful result separately from the latest run status.
[ ] Exercise a known failure in isolation before scheduling.

FOR BACKUP JOBS
[ ] Budget the candidate, retained copies, restore workspace and reserve at the peak.
[ ] Check candidate bytes and the intended recovered application state separately.
[ ] Stop replacement/retention at a failed validation gate.
[ ] Record unexecuted stages as not_run; preserve evidence and the next action.

Manual templates do not install scheduling, logging or monitoring.
